Knight Frank and Diana Morales Properties presented in Marbella their Wealth Report 2015
The event was hosted by Diana Morales Properties, Knight Frank’s new exclusive associate on the Costa del Sol, which highlighted Andalusia as one of the preferred choices of High Net Worth Individuals.
Marbella, 20th of March, 2015: This morning the city of Marbella hosted the presentation of this year’s edition of The Wealth Report, which provides a comprehensive assessment of wealth, property and investment trends of Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI), with a special focus on prime real estate markets.
The event was held at the Hotel Gran Meliá Don Pepe, where the global property consultancy Knight Frank (who recently appointed Diana Morales Properties as their associate) presented the key notes of their recently launched Wealth Report. The Wealth Report is Knight Frank’s flagship research publication, which over the past nine years has established itself as the leading commentary on international wealth flows, investments and the performance of prime property markets. Knight Frank is the leading independent global property consultancy, headquartered in London and operating from 370 offices in 55 countries. Recognised for providing the highest standards of quality and integrity in global property advisory services, they establish strategic alliances to offer an international network of offices with extensive local knowledge.
The presentation was conducted by Kate Everett-Allen, Partner and Head of International Residential Research of Knight Frank in London. The expert focused on key investment attitudes of UNHWIs (Ultra High Net Worth Individuals), saying: “Wealth continued to grow last year. In fact, around 15 new names are added to the list of HNWI on a daily basis. This group has seen an increase of 61% in one decade (since 2004), and the trend is that it will continue to grow, up to 34% more over the next 10 years”. She also mentioned that between 2010 and 2014 the number of – resident – HNWIs in Andalusia has increased by 8,5%, bringing this region closer to the scores of places such as Madrid or Barcelona, and if ‘non-residents’ where included, it would in fact make it to the top of the list in Spain.
The hosts of this “conference/business breakfast” were the main representatives of Diana Morales Properties: the current director of the real estate agency, Pia Arrieta, and the founder, Diana Morales. Their speech about the Marbella Real Estate Market Insight highlighted the reactivation of the construction industry in Marbella, the increased buyers’ demands for quality and predicted the relevance of the British market in this year’s growth. Their closing lines emphasised that Marbella continues to be well positioned to continue the recovery that started in 2013. They both stressed the fact that Diana Morales Properties has always been a local boutique agency with large international connections, known to offer a service based on quality and integrity, and these values are shared and reassured by their recent association with prestigious international consultancy Knight Frank.
This private, invitation-only event gathered a select group of prestigious company owners, directors and businessmen based on Costa del Sol, specialised media and influential people in the area.
Attendees had the opportunity of networking with the lecturer and other members of Knight Frank London and Madrid. Representatives of Knight Frank London, in addition to the lecturer, included: Patrick Dring, Head of the International Department; Christian de Meillac, Head of the residential department for the Caribbean, Portugal and Spain; and Georgina Richards– International Network Manager. Whilst on behalf of KF Madrid the event was attended by: Alberto Costillo, Director of Finance Department and Ernesto Tarazona, Director of residential and land.
On closing the event, the hosts gave the lecturer the book “España 360º” as a memento of the presentation, and posed for a family photo. It was, overall, a very successful event for Diana Morales Properties.
