Luks Marbella’s Christmas Dinner
Luks Marbella meets its objective this Christmas. During dinner they raised €1,400 for ‘Ciudad de los Niños’ and 25 ‘Shoebox Appeal’ boxes were collected for an orphanage in La Linea.
Marbella, 13th of December 2013: Yesterday, Luks Marbella held an intimate Solidarity Christmas dinner for club members and friends at the El Patio Restaurant, Marbella. During the cocktail of welcoming events, they were entertained by singer Antony Wolfson, they then proceeded to the raffle of gifts, where the proceeds of about 1,400 €, was given directly to the orphanage ‘Ciudad de los Niños’ in Málaga.
Additionally, they continued with the collection for the Shoebox Appeal (shoe boxes full of children’s presents) for the children living in an orphanage in La Linea, Cádiz. This time around 25 boxes were collected.
Following this, Luks Marbella want to continue with the objective of encouraging the solidarity and generosity of its members, as well as continuing the integration of the Russian community in the Costa del Sol.
Another outstanding part of the evening was the Luks Marbella Heroes Awards 2013. José Luis Hernández, Chief of Tourism, was in charge of delivering the “Luks Marbella Award for the most caring person in the Costa del Sol”, sponsored by Eline Collection, which was collected by Masha Malka. The “Luks Marbella Award for the person who has made the greatest contribution to the Russian speaking community in the Costa del Sol” was for Olga Kharitonova, an award sponsored by Engel & Volkers. And finally, the “Luks Marbella Award for the person that has promoted and helped the project of Luks Marbella” was awarded to Marina Robertson.
The evening was livened up with shows as flamboyant as an Esteban Freiría young people fashion show, dance performances from Valentin Milev and the Anna Sologub Dance School, and performances from singers Verónica Malka and Bogdan Rodionov.
