About the Andrés Olivares Foundation

The Olivares Foundation (www.fundacionandresolivares.org) was founded in 2010 by Andres Olivares after the death of his son to leukemia.
The charity´s first project “La Sala Blanca” is the Citizen Participation Room in the Maternity and Child Hospital of Malaga. The room is available to both sick children and their families. Its purpose: A place where they can feel at home and where the staff of the foundation and volunteers offer support during hard times; while they wait for consultations or tests.

Since May 2013, the Andrés Olivares Foundation has its own headquarters with a more ambitious and comprehensive project that provides comprehensive support for children with cancer and their families. The pillars are: psychological support, physiotherapy, nutrition, reiki and educational support. Social aid is also managed from the headquarters and offers financial support to families with fewer financial resources.
