The Magna Spain group opens the Kalma & Kaos restaurant, consolidating its position as one of the leading groups in the area’s restaurant sector.
- Kalma & Kaos presents an innovative concept of gastronomy and multifunctional leisure space with an uninterrupted kitchen service open from 1pm to 11pm.
- Located at the nexus of San Pedro de Alcántara and Estepona, the establishment, with more than 900 square metres, was created with the aim of providing the area with a quality restaurant service.
- The new space stands out for its large size and distribution of open spaces, especially designed for the privatisation of all types of events.
- Marbella, 6 October 2023 – The Magna Spain group inaugurated yesterday afternoon a new restaurant open to all publics, located in the Cancelada area, under the name of Kalma & Kaos, which encompasses the union of two types of cuisine, Japanese and Mediterranean, respectively. With an investment of more than two million euros, the three-storey multilevel building, spread over 900 square metres and a large garden, is presented as the new trendy space.
The group realised the great potential offered by the nexus between San Pedro de Alcántara and Estepona “which lacks a quality leisure and restaurant offer in comparison with the level of construction and growth of high standing properties with a public of high purchasing power who demand spaces in accordance with their needs. The aim is to provide the area with a high quality catering service, which is currently lacking, with a multidisciplinary concept for holding events, with different spaces and outdoor areas,” said Francesc Sole, Co-Ceo of Magna Spain.
A great evening marked the official presentation of this new meeting place with more than 400 guests in attendance to enjoy a magical setting, live music and a selection of dishes from both menus. The event was attended by the Solé brothers, CEOs of the Magna Spain group together with José María García Urbano, mayor of Estepona town hall, as well as representatives of institutions, businessmen and senior executives from all over the area and surrounding areas.
The restaurant, which opened its doors in May 2023, has created 38 new local jobs, bringing the total number of jobs in the group to 95. The group currently has three restaurants (Kalma & Kaos, Vovem and Magna Café), as well as the nine-hole golf course Magna Marbella Golf and three other lines of business dedicated to construction, development and real estate.
The establishment allows different areas to be privatised to create exclusive spaces for any type of event. With a capacity for up to 400 diners in its entirety, the restaurant has a central kitchen that serves both floors. On the other hand, the Kalma floor has its own bar manager, where the sushi preparation is concentrated. The distribution of diners is divided into a capacity of 220 on the ground floor, where Kaos is located, 100 on the first floor where the Japanese restaurant, Kalma, is located and around 40 people on the roof top.
Open every day from 1pm noon to 11pm at night without interruption and with an average ticket price of 65 euros, the new restaurant offers the possibility of savouring a cuisine with original flavours. For this purpose, two interesting and varied menus have been prepared, where dishes such as the ‘brioche of red tuna tartar and citric avocado cream among the starters’ or the ‘lemon fish tiradito with Ponzu sauce, truffle and crunchy tempura’ stand out. Also in high demand among the clientele are the ‘carabinero croquettes’ or the ‘Wagyu Brisket rice’, among others.
“In our Japanese bar, all the sushi is spectacular and is getting rave reviews. We should also highlight our cocktail and drinks menu, which will be a delight for the afternoon and afterworks”, says Sole.
Kalma & Kaos is also presented as a versatile and multidisciplinary space, with live music and a variety of shows, as well as the possibility of renting it for all kinds of events. In this regard, the CEO of the group stated that “with the intention of continuing to revolutionise the restaurant industry, we have created a new meeting place where leisure and gastronomy go hand in hand in an area with great potential and eager for a quality offer”.
